In preparation for Field Day club members set up two vertical antennas near the surf to see how they would perform. Out first contact was with a station in Maryland, so I guess it works down there.
We believe in helping our newer hams gain the experience with all aspects of the hobby in which they are interested. Here Brett is giving advice to Pam on how to operate in high speed contests.
Members of the club regularly climb to the summit of local mountains to operate their small portable radios in the Summits on the Air (SOTA) program. Here Brett is calling stations across North America from the summit of Mt. Agassiz.
Members of our club travel the world for their own mini DX-expedition experience. Here Ralph is operating his small HF radio from the original Marconi site in Cornwall England.
Club members support various community events throughout the year. Here Jay is providing communications support for the Tour de White Rock an annual bike race that occurs in July.
Many of the club members get together Sunday afternoons at 3pm for a coffee and the opportunity to talk about radio and the latest events taking place. Join us we would welcome the chance to meet some new hams and those curious about the technology.
