Field Day 2017

Field Day 2017

Club Members set up for the annual Field Day event at the beach in White Rock. We began setting up our equipment at 9:30am and were on the air at the start of the event at 11am. This year we operated two HF stations and a 2m VHF radio. Club members operated with and IC-7000 with an Hi-Q antenna on 20m using both CW and phone modes, Jim used his camper with his HF radio and G5RV antenna on 40m. For 2m we set up an IC-208H with an portable Arrow Yagi on a mast. Operation continued until 1:30 when the heat of the sun chased us away. In total we completed 45 contacts across the three radios. The site and set up worked well and all the members who came by enjoyed the event.

Coffee Meetings

We meet every Sunday at 3pm for coffee and a chance to share our recent adventures with radio technology. We really enjoy meeting new people who are interested in learning about Amateur Radio or even other Hams! Join us this Sunday. We currently meet at the food court in Semiahmoo Mall.

Please join us on our weekly net - every Thursday 7:30pm on the White Rock Repeater
