Operating in QSO Parties

Club members met at the lounge to operate in the Nevada and Arizona QSO Parties. We arrived at the lounge a bit before 10am and set up Jim's IC-7000 radio. It is the one he uses when doing POTA activations. The band was noisy as usual for the location and hearing weaker stations was not easy. We managed to work a few stations in the two states but most were not heard.  Although we did not make a large number of contacts we did have fun and for those able to make it a pleasant lunch afterwards.

Coffee Meetings

We meet every Sunday at 3pm for coffee and a chance to share our recent adventures with radio technology. We really enjoy meeting new people who are interested in learning about Amateur Radio or even other Hams! Join us this Sunday. We currently meet at the food court in Semiahmoo Mall.
