Jim Leary (VE7BCJ) passed away on September 12th. He had been a past member of the club for many years. He enjoyed mobile operating and had an extensive set up in his truck for HF communications.

Dave passed away last Tuesday (April 25th). Dave was a faithful attender of the weekly coffee meetings and club events, though soft spoken, he provided much wisdom to our conversation around radio topics. In his weakened state from Parkinson’s Disease, he could not fight off a Covid infection.  He was 86 at his passing.

Due to the roof work on the White Rock arena, the 2m antenna had been removed last year. It has now been restored and in a much higher position. As seen in the photo, it is now at the roof peak.

Jay Besteman (VE7JPK) joined the ranks of the Silent Keys on September 5, 2020. Jay was a welcome member to the club over the years bringing many reports of his adventures and activating experiences. His life in South Africa was always interesting to learn about.

Our former club member Bill Little (VA7ZBL) became a silent key on Monday July 13. Bill was only a member a few years before his health failed and he wasn't able to get out much.  Bill had previously also been a member of the Surrey Radio Club serving as a director and providing leadership in various areas. Though a quiet individual, he was a welcome member of the club.
