POTA at Campbell Valley Park

Twice this week club members activated Campbell Valley Park in the Parks-on-the-air program. On Tuesday Jim and Eric were out. Using Jim's radio and Eric's antenna they operated as a two-op station making contacts on the 10m band. Responses came quick and after only 30 minutes they had filled up a log book page. On Friday Joe and Bob Joined Eric to see how the activation was handled, it was Bob's first exposure to an activation. Once set up, Eric made a quick 2m contact to fellow club member Ken who was at home. Then the fun began on 10m. The band was in great shape and he managed a contact with a station in Australia and then Brazil. The north american hunters were piled-up and we completed 25 contacts in about 25 minutes! Once done with the activation those present enjoyed a lunch together at Hazelmere Golf club.
