Club members provided assistance again this year to the City of White Rock and the annual Tour de White Rock. This year the event ran for only two days and our involvement was to set up and monitor the commercial repeater that was erected at the far end of the White Rock Peer. Jim and Jay took the commercial repeater and Eric's portable back country antenna to the far reaches of the peer and there they set it up for the event. While they waited and monitored the system, they enjoyed a lovely breakfast put on for the sponsors of the tour. Then at the conclusion of the race they returned to the peer and brought back the equipment. City staff were pleased and reported that communications worked flawlessly again this year.
