Ralph and I enjoyed a challenging hike to the summit of Mount Keenan. Ralph made a number of 20m CW contacts with his KX1. I (Eric) made 5 with my 2m Yagi including a contact with another SOTA activator 195km distant on Moose Bench Summit. We were exhausted by the time we got back to the truck but

It is a tiny mountain on the east side of Stave Lake but the hike was brutal as we had to push through dense underbrush. we did finally reach the summit and there my son Nick and I were able to get a first activation of the summit. for a full report see my blog site: https://www.scenicart.ca/content

John Bell and I hiked Lady Peak to activate the summit in the SOTA program. We successfully completed the first activation of the summit. It was a good challenge and though the clouds blocked any views it allowed us to concentrate on making contacts.
